Vellimalai Murugan Temple:
Vellimalai Murugan Temple is the one of the most beautiful and calm temple dedicated to Lord Muruga, located in Vellimalai, Kanyakumari District. There is a hill about 250 feet height called “Vellimalai“, where Lord Muruga temple located. This temple also called as “Bala Subramaniya Swamy Koil“. The main deity of this temple is Lord Muruga as monolithic image facing east side. This Lord Muruga temple is situated at top of the hill, and surrounded places are fully greenery with coconut trees, paddy fields, ponds and even you can see, sea from this temple. Its a very attractive view from top of this hill.
Bala Subramaniya Swamy Koil is situated at top of this hill and Sri Vivekananda Ashram situated at the foothills. On the way from temple to Vivekananda Ashram, we can see natural foot print (impression) in the hill called Siva Paadam (Lord Siva foot) and Nandhi Paadam (Nandhi foot). These natural foot impressions are resembling to human foot and bull foot. Near to these foot prints, there is a famous well on the hill. This well water was used to perform temple Pooja, Abhisheham,..Now the well is dried and no water. Monday market and Friday Market are the nearest town from this temple.

Everyday pooja will be performed. Friday pooja will be special and last Friday of the Tamil month pooja will be more special consider as auspicious.
